If the DNS fails to find the IP address, then the issue ‘ DNS address cannot be found ’ arises.
Every website on the internet has a numerical IP which is associated with the human-understandable domain name, this IP address is used for the packet to packet communication and if the DNS (server) which acts as the translator fails to retrieve the IP Address of the site you are trying to visit, then this error is triggered. Generally, this issue is seen when a domain you are trying to access is down, the dns server is down or your local cache is returning an older IP address which usually Just an update in case anyone else was having the same problem - the issue was that the domain provider just needed an email to be verified! The email had been sent to the person I am building a website for rather than myself so I didn't realise until logging on to my domain provider
